Fresh wind is a community built upon Jesus by the voice of holy spirit.

For years. members of the Fresh Wind core team felt like there needed to be a new move of God in Southgate and Downriver. While hearing Holy Spirit is not an exact science nor a perfect art, we believe that this is the only way that true life will be breathed into our city - by God alone. Seeking to partner with God in what is already being done, Fresh Wind is driven by prayer and worship; the two things that serve as the human foundation to allow God to transform our lives.

Change never happens solo. Deepening in faith doesn’t either. Fresh Wind is a community for those who want to walk through life pursuing Jesus together. We believe in the authority of Scripture and the need for proper theology, but these are avenues through which we can commune with God more deeply and not to be idolized. Further, we believe that salvation and restoration to God is a gift, but depth and connection come by practicing the way of life shown to us by Jesus.
